This course provides candidates with the industry standard to work as a fully qualified swimming teacher. The course integrates our high quality standards in how to deliver fun and high quality lessons and ensure candidates are delivering great swimming lessons, teaching children ‘the Becky way’.

Courses are 75-80 hours of guided learning over a blended approach of 8 weeks-worth of tutor-led contact time on course. Including live interactive lessons via zoom, virtual cafe catch ups, online community classroom for resources, tasks and assignments/feedback, 121 tutor support and home study tasks and assessment portfolio.

Our course values interaction, fun and a community 'family' spirit and we will always commit to supporting you as effectively as we can through our virtual classroom, live lessons and 121 support where needed, we will always give practical examples and help you to apply your knowledge to the real world of teaching.

Once we are able to arrange your practical elements, these will be in a real environment observing, assisting and teaching children’s lessons of a full range of abilities from non-swimmers to advanced as well as peer teaching and stroke analysis wherever possible.

We provide fun, games-based learning, even in the 'virtual' classroom with limited ‘sit-listen’ as we value learning through interactive, diverse approaches.

Our virtual academy course provides a blended and holistic approach to SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming with a progressive pathway of scaffolding knowledge over time and practically from observing lessons, assisting already qualified Level 2 teachers, team teaching with support from peers into taking responsibility for your own lessons, leading the teaching with and eventually without an assistant. All supervised by our excellent team of SEQ licenced BAT Tutors, they will support, guide and mentor you along your learning journey to be inspired and confident in your new skills and role.
