Become a Swimming Teacher
The first step to becoming a swimming teacher can be a tough one; decided which course is right for you, what to do once you have your new qualification and who to talk to that will be able to offer advice.
At Becky Adlington Training, we see such a variety of candidates come through our training process, each taking their own path. Being a swimming teacher is a fantastic job for those looking for flexibility. Parents often favour this career as it works around school hours; courses are also popular with students and those with part-time roles as swimming teaching can be an evening/weekend job; and for those who are retired, being a swimming teacher can be a great opportunity to stay active and social.

What course is right for you?
If you’re new to this, it can all be a bit confusing – but we promise, it’s not! Check out our quick breakdown of the Swim England Courses we offer below:
Our Swim England Level 1 Swimming Teacher (Assistant) Qualification is a 4 day course costing £350. This qualification will allow you to assist a fully qualified swimming teacher.
Our Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification is a 9 day course costing £650. You will need a Level 1 Swimming Teacher (Assistant) Qualification to attend this course and once you have completed it, you will be a fully qualified swimming teacher able to independently lead a class.
Finally, our Combined Swim England Level 1 & 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification is a 9 day course costing £950. This course will allow you to do both of the above qualifications in one, meaning you will be a fully qualified Level 2 Swimming Teacher after the 9 days.
We understand that these courses can be tough to afford all in one go, which is why we have a variety of payment options on offer.
